Since 1986, I have been living in Warwick, New York. I was born on July 4, 1950 in Portland , Maine. My early years until I turned 7 were greatly affected by the landscape of rural Maine. We lived in Cape Elizabeth at the time until we moved to California. I studied at the University of California at Santa Cruz, then went east again to study at the New York Studio School. Gretna Campbell, Philip Guston and other well-known artists were my instructors. It was an intense study of drawing and painting from the figure. Later, I went onto get a teaching credential and taught in the public and private schools. My devoted husband, Harry, and  I raised two beautiful daughters Amy and Lori. Presently, I am teaching private art lessons and painting daily.  In the spring of 2010 I will be teaching another drawing class at Mount St. Mary College at the Desmond Campus in Newburgh,NY.

Much of my work is done onsite.First off I usually take a digital photo , then do some sketches. I like to work on several paintings at once, from different perspectives. After doing a pastel, watercolor or oil onsite, I will paint a larger version  at my studio. 

 Most importantly I give thanks to the Lord for the talent which He has given me and for the opportunately to use these creative skills for His glory.
